Night vision?

Recently I’ve become interested in joining the Canadian Army in the future by way of ROTP. I’m still in grade ten, therefore I’m still looking at other options, but…
I recall reading somewhere that to be in the army, you should have good night vision? I have decent night vision, although it takes about four-five seconds for my sight to adjust. And the three main things I’m looking at in terms of jobs are: intelligence officer, infantry officer, and, maybe, military police member.
Soo- my question is, is Night vision particularly/extremely important?
Yeah, not much of a question… but I figure it might help to find out ^_^
Mahal- Not quite the answer I was looking for. I know here in Canada you get extra classes for second language eficiency (ie. I would probably have to take it for French). I speak basic Spanish already, and I have given though about Farsi, although I’d have no idea where to begin. Thanks for the input!
(add to last edit) And I know Spanish isn’t exactly in high demand, but my high school doesn’t offer anything other than French, Spanish, and Latin, unfortunately.
