Is there a hidden microphone on my HP Pavillion DV6000 Laptop?

I am trying to shut off the microphones on my HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop but cant find a way. I am running Vista Home Premium and it is not like xp or 2000 where you can click on the speaker on the taskbar and either mute or turn down the mic volume.
Does anyone know how to fu*kin shut off the damn mics on this computer?
Plus, when I cover the mics (built in on the monitor) with my fingers I can still hear myself talking clear as day. Is there a hidden microphone on my computer? I think there is a hidden fu**in microphone on my computer!
If anyone can help me that would be great. thanks.
