spybot/spysweeper have always been really reliable with very good free trial versions.

Try EWIDO it is one of the top antitrojan/antispyware programs. Free version only offers on demand scanning…use Windows defender for real time scanning along side it. Also use Spybot S&D and try Ad-aware:
Use more than one scanner as one alone is not enough to protect you computer. Use only one in real time though…using more than one real time scanner will cause conflicts when they find something. all the above are free for personal use

I’ve been using and it works well. You can download it for free and it will remove all kinds of malicious processes from your system, incl. your registry. We also use this program at work.
