What are the best brands of binoculars and parabolic listening devices?

For like short distances, like within a neighborhood? Like for neighborhood watch? Like something discreet, I mean, so that people can’t tell you’re watching them from your window, but that can still see/hear through another window?

    You’re better off with permanently mounted cameras hooked to computer for motion activated recording.
