Talk to the good folks at Radio Shack
they have one of these dogs in their kennel
and (without earphones) it runs around $ 25 usd
Earphones for this device should run no more
than approximately $ 8 – 10 usd

I had to purchase one of these for my soon to be 96 year old father recently (he refuses to wear his hearing aids but LOVES this thing —- go figure !!! )
